Heard about this on the news about a month ago.  Basically trying to tap into the Medicare money pipeline. 

I could see it helping in many regards.  Will it work in reality?  I doubt it and really just see the system being abused and not really benefiting those who it ideally should.  Just like I see (ethnicity withheld) person using EBT to buy steak, lobster, etc, while using cash to buy booze, cigarettes, etc.  Then they are all tatted up and drive a pretty flashy car. . .

My biggest fear is the money ending up in some government worker's bank account or the money being diverted and used for something else in the government. Like the governor's pet project or something similar.

BTW, I have witnessed first hand complete waste of our tax dollars by our state government. But that is another story for another day. After I retire.

I miss Senator Proxmire's monthly Golden Fleece Awards (given to public officials in the United States for wasting public money). Taxpayers for Common Sense issued the award for a while long after Proxmire's retirement in 1988, but I don't think it exists any more, or at least doesn't get any media exposure if it still exists. Maybe it's just too depressing.

Geez dude, I actually remember Proxmire and his golden fleece award!!! I think I remember it on the radio. OMG I can't believe I remember that. And he didn't sugar coat it, either. I miss Paul Harvey, too.

Not only housing is a medical right but housing in Kahala or Manoa to boost the poor patient's self esteem.   No wonder many docs are retiring.   Pretty sure some politician will want all homeless to be eligible for a retirement pension at age 35.   This craziness always manages to top itself year after year.
