scanning gun show license plates
« on: March 16, 2017, 10:23:23 AM »
We know they do it. Anyone want to help keep an eye out for creepy surveillance type cars circling the parking lot? Or dudes by the door pretending to play with their phone while taking pictures of everyone? I'm curious how much of a covert law enforcement and Homeland security presence we have now.

Depends who the "they" are. Now that the big alphabet agencies have been let off the leash with no consequences every little Podunk sheriff's department, spyonyourkids.com and ministry of underwater basket weaving will want in on the unconstitutional action.

I can see someone sitting behind the curtain checking out the facial scanner readouts.

"Oooh. Looks like this guy is in RapBack. Databases say he's had a recent divorce, cholesterol is a little too high, he said some bad things about the Clintons on a Facebook post, and he likes fat girl porn and has an uncircumcised penis. Assign him a threat level of 3b."

If they asked me if I went to the gun show because my plates were scanned, I would deny everything and make it a point to let them see the ticket stub and goodies that I bought.   Deep state these a$$holes.
As said before I just went to visit my Aunty Rose Makuakane who lives somewhere on Kinau St. but no mo parking so I park at NBC.

Don't know why they would have to scan plates...we already are in a registration data base.  It would make more sense for states that don't have firearm registration.

Or is it a joke played to the noob agents.  Like telling a PFC that we need an exhaust sample from the HMMWV, so take a trash bag and collect the exhaust fumes.  Then tie it and label the back with a serial number.

License plate scanning at the gun show is the least of my worries.   They could do the same at a gun show or range.  Scan facebook or this forum.

Double edged sword, many gun owners stay hidden to prevent theft, opposing views from friends, etc.  But it also hurts the general community where people don't see it and aren't accustomed to it which can further antigun attitude.

"Dumb" isn't a factor in government decisions about how to waste spend taxpayer dollars. For example, consider the untold millions of dollars spent thus far providing Secret Service protection to Jimmy Carter for the past 36 years since he left office. What could be dumber than that?
