Yeah, I saw a Kimber pop up in one of those items, too.   

M14 was a good rifle in the role it was capable of fulfilling (replacement for the M1).  Unfortunately, it was being forced into service in roles it was not well suited for ....

The M14 was developed to replace four different weapons systems—the M1 rifle, the M1 carbine, the M3 "grease gun" and the M1918 Browning automatic rifle (BAR).
The intention was to simplify the logistical requirements of the troops by limiting the types of ammunition and parts needed to be supplied. However, it proved to be an
impossible task to replace all four. The M14 was also deemed "completely inferior" to the World War II M1 Garand in a September 1962 report by the comptroller of the
U.S. Department of Defense.[22] The cartridge was too powerful for the submachine gun role and the weapon was simply too light to serve as a light machine gun
replacement for the BAR.

All lists are subjective.  Most of those in the list I hadn't even heard of, so I thought it was interesting.

Being a fan(atic) of oddball firearms I have read about and seen photos of all of those guns. A few I have actually seen/touched/shot as reproductions. I don't claim to have a gun collection as I buy guns that I like and don't have duplicates of the same models (with different variations)  as a real collector would. I can't afford to have a "collection". However, if I could afford to collect I would probably own most of these.
