so what do you need to participate?  Just be a member of HDF and then we can just show up with whatever flame throwers or mini guns we got and can go shoot?  ::)

It was said that we need permission to shoot calibers larger than 7.62x39 at the bays.  How do I go about getting permission?  Who do I call?
I wanna shoot some 308 and 30-06  :D

Call Mike, the range master.

And for future reference:

Quote
Action Pistol Range Rules

1.)   All persons shall wear Eye & Ear protection while firing is in progress.

2.)   All projectiles must impact behind the target line.

3.)   No targets shall be placed on the ground.

4.)   Metallic targets shall be placed BEHIND the target line.

5.)   Metallic targets will not be placed closer than 8 yards from the firing line.

6.)   Load no more than 10 rounds per magazine.

7.)   No holstered firearms allowed past the covered lanai adjacent to the MPPL storage.

8.)   No plinking of objects on the backstop.

9.)   When shooting at bowling pins, minimum distance is 25 feet.  Minimum caliber:  9mm / 38 special +P, #4 buckshot for shotguns.

Police your area.  Pick up all brass, targets remnants (paper, wood and tape) before leaving.

This is your park, help keep it clean.
The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.

lol yea and have the range shut down again.

But seriously.  We just sign up for HDF and that's it?  We don't have to bring our own targets or anything like that?

Yes Ichi! just join HDF and BYG&A. Regarding targets - out of courtesy, help set up targets or clean up the range afterwards, if your schedule permits. Or both even. It's not required, but in my experience, it helps to bring extra tools and supplies (tape, stapler, blank paper, targets, etc). Bring your own water and food, or prepare to make a food and water run. Hell maybe Chris will still let us bring a BBQ lol. The sun gets brutal out there sometimes, so be prepared for that. Usually sunscreen, maybe longsleeve shirt, and a hat will suffice. Eyes and ears too of course.

From what I understand, clubs are already being charged the $15 per hour fee. I don't think HDF is charging us yet, but keep that in mind.

I think Dregs is right about the fees, and everyone is encouraged to chip in a little money to HDF to offset those costs.

cool.  Thanks dregs lol.  What time does the setup usually start.  Also is there a post with all the information in it?  I think it would save a lot of these questions being asked again lol.  I actually don't mind bringing targets, i just don't like bringing the target stand LOL.  Setup and cleanup is no probs!
