The way I see it is the church opposes obamas health care plan because it requires Employers to offer health care plans that cover birth control or abortions. I feel that actually is a plus for us tax payers. Look at this way, a single mom gets knocked up after a random night of drinking. By the time she figures out she is pregnant its at least a month down the road. Maybe she remembers who the dad is maybe not.

She can't afford an abortion because her medical doesn't cover it and she only gets paid $10 an hour. She goes on to have this baby that grow up into a teenager. It has had a rough life due to his mother struggling to cover bills and trying to provide. They also live in subsidized housing. The youth joins a gang to "feel safe" in this environment or is just trying to make the hustle. The youth now starts committing crimes for its gang. It eventually get busted and is sentenced to prison. Guess who ends up paying in the end? Yes, you got it... us taxpayers.

I know this is an extreme hypothetical example, but believe me it happens. While it is proven that some "escape" the life, many do not and innocent people pay the price. One thing is certain, harsh social economic conditions create, in most times create criminals; and criminals, most times, breed criminals. Some my say that its a means to the end. I say it's an available option to a person that can't support their offspring, that being said its their RIGHT to choose... Who are we to say its wrong, we are not the ones trying to support these offspring... Or are we? Haha, let the flaming begin...

I'd support a program that requires recipients of welfare programs to be on birth control, and mandated that any pregnancies be placed up for adoption, but I cannot and will not condone abortion for any reason, ever.

Have you seen some of the type of kids that come out of adoptions or foster homes. Dont get me wrong, there are some success stories. I'd still go with abortions. That's my choice.... That's why America is free. It allows you to chose what you want.

What's to say only people on welfare should have mandated adoptions. I know of some very successful people that have fucked up kids.

Maybe you should witness a late term abortion, it may change your mind.

Still wouldn't change my mind. In the end its still their choice. Who are we to tell them what to do. It's not like it will be us raising their kid. Oh wait, if they give it up then technically we will be raising their kid because foster parents get $500 per kid from the state monthly.

What if some of us are foster kids? What if your kid got pregnant out of wedlock? Would you still support abortion?

I'd support his or her choice after I educate them on the options. Plus I educate my kids on contraceptives and try to instill the right morals to assists in their decision making process. Kids will be kids. The best you can do is raise them right and hope they make right, informed decisions.

If you are a foster child all the best to you. You beat the statistics. I have worked in the human services field as both a counselor and law enforcement. I have seen the good and the bad and want to believe that I have made a difference in some of their lives. Only time will tell.
