Jerry uses a RDS.  At Front Sight, an older guy was using a RDS on his Sig and was able to get on target real quick.  With my far sighted dominant eye, my front sight is slightly blurry.  Any thoughts on using a RDS on a CC handgun?  I am seriously considering getting one for my G19.

Funny thing....I have tried glock19 with the red dot set into the slide.
It looks and feels great but I had a hard time hitting anything with it.
I don't know why.
Other forum members can attest that I can shoot a pistol pretty OK.
Ever tried a mos block?

MOS Glock

I never tried one on a handgun and would imagine it would be great for target practice, competition, and home defense.

If you have eye problems then I could see putting one on a CCW gun.  However most CCW incidents occur at a very close range where you would use a flash sight picture or point shooting where your eyesight wouldn't matter.  It would help at farther ranges, 7+ yards, like a active shooter incident or assisting others or defemding after a close range incident, but the trade off would be concealability and comfort.
