He said he was too inexperienced.  Personally, i'm upset with him, since I think he blows any of the current candidates out of the water.  The man is a personal hero of mine, because he's such a shitty politician.  I might not agree with him on everything (though I haven't found anything yet), but you will never, ever, have to wonder what West is up to.  He'll write you a letter telling you you're a terrible, horrible person, he hates you, and hopes you burn in hell, then hand-deliver it to you personally.  Probably release a copy to the press as well, since he seems to have the crazy idea that his voters have a right to know what he's doing in Washington.

I agree. You probably have, but reading up on his military career, makes me thirsty for better leadership, especially in the accountability department.

crazy I know. A politician telling constituents the truth. Crazy indeed. I like the guy a lot in my opinion I think he's very experienced he was a high ranking officer. Technically, high ranking officers are in ways politicians they got deal with all the bureaucratic bullshit.

Yeah, West is a no-BS kind of guy.  Just ask that insurgent he terrified the holy hell out of!     (For the record, I applaud that incident.  If ever I am taken prisoner by the godless Commies, I sincerely hope that the worst of my treatment is being threatened with a pistol.)

I commend this guy, especially after his response about Marines desecrating dead Taliban bodies.  He maybe an Army officer but he got a loud "OOH RAH" from me.

I have sat back and assessed the incident with the video of our Marines urinating on Taliban corpses. I do not recall any self-righteous indignation when our Delta snipers Shugart and Gordon had their bodies dragged through Mogadishu. Neither do I recall media outrage and condemnation of our Blackwater security contractors being killed, their bodies burned, and hung from a bridge in Fallujah.

All these over-emotional pundits and armchair quarterbacks need to chill. Does anyone remember the two Soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division who were beheaded and gutted in Iraq?

The Marines were wrong. Give them a maximum punishment under field grade level Article 15 (non-judicial punishment), place a General Officer level letter of reprimand in their personnel file, and have them in full dress uniform stand before their Battalion, each personally apologize to God, Country, and Corps videotaped and conclude by singing the full US Marine Corps Hymn without a teleprompter.

As for everyone else, unless you have been shot at by the Taliban, shut your mouth, war is hell.
