Unfortunately there are a lot of tweakers and KPD and our DA our far more concerned with people not coming to complete stops than actual crime. Way too many worthless officers.

Kauai has too many mainlanders who moved to paradise and now don't want anyone else there.  I was there at the end of August and traffic is worse than Oahu.  My wife has a lot family there but I don't ever plan on going back.

Lol, worse than Oahu? Anyhow, every island is full of mainlanders that don't want the next person to come...what does that have to do with hurting turtles and seals? In the recent cases its been drugged out locals who were the culprits.

There are no shortage of sea turtles any more and they should be taken off the endangered list.  Anyone who abuses any animal should be locked up.  I am an animal lover, but not against killing them for food.  I just don't like to see them tortured or abused.  Problem with Kauai traffic is there is only one road.  Driving from Lihue to Kapaa during rush hour is ridiculous.  I imagine Oahu traffic out the Westside is equal to or worse than Kauai, but I don't drive there.  My commute on Oahu ranges from Aiea/Kaneohe/Kailua/Honolulu and Hawaii Kai.  Unless there is a stall or accident, traffic is not too bad.

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Sure, there are a lot of turtles nowadays, but this guy was trying to stab it with a butter knife and punching it in the head. Doesn't seem like he had any plans of eating it.

Actually I've heard from the older folks that turtle meat was really good.
