For the Baboy.  Gutting - I use a 4 inch blade knife like a Mora Companion (pictured) or 511 or Buck 102, 105 or 110.

Ammo:  Hornady American Whitetail 150gr. Interlock.  This one came from a boar shot @ 20 yards, quartering towards me, entering the left shoulder, lodging on the right side back of the ribs.  The boar still got up an ran. Usually this bullet breaks apart when broadside shot taking out both shoulders is taken.  Going to try some Federal Trophy Bonded Tip 165 gr. to see how she handles those shoulder shots.

Fed Fusion or Hornady American Whitetail. 150 gr.  308.  Ive been pleased with both on deer.  Havent got to try on any hogs yet.  I picked up a couple boxes of Hornady Superformance 130 gr for my 270 win, havent shot anything with them yet though.

Use havalons, opinel, kershaws, buck to gut and cold steel, dexters, forshner, victorinox etc skinners, deboners

What .308 cartridge you're using?  We mainly use 2 the 130 gr speer HP and 165 gr Sierra Gameking HPBT. The 130's are used mostly for our small 30's up to 300 wby. The 165 is used mostly from 300 wby up to our big 30 cal wildcats.  If going for pig with our smaller 30's we use the 165. The 130's are strictly for thin skinned game like deer, goat etc  The 165's we've used all over the world including 100's of african game.

Here's a .308 Hornady AW 150 gr. Taken from a 200+ Lbs. Boar (dressed) broadside shot @ 40yards.  Bullet lodged under the skin on opposite shoulder.  Notice these don't hold to well on big boars but it did drop it on the spot. Going to try some Federal Trophy Bonded Tip .165gn to see how it holds up.
