Allot of the stuffs there are overpriced. You can put together your own emergency kit and essentials at Costco for way less.
Some of their prices are high, but it varies I think. I gotta say, they do seem to emphasize quality and actually useful products. Not just cheap, gimmicky crap that so many online stores carry or that we see in ready-made prep kits.
Examples:
They carry a variety of BPA-free, gasketed food storage containers. From larger 7+ gallon sizes (marketed for pet foods, safe for humans), to convenient 1 gal and smaller clear containers. I've been looking everywhere for these squared plastic pete bottles in larger sizes, so that's awesome. Perfect to store contents of #10 can foods (LDS Cannery, Mountain House, or the brand they carry, Thrive).
Solar options. The carry panels and batteries in store! Probably way over priced, but cool nontheless. They also have some neat little solar lights you can hang.
They have the "Cansolidator" which is pretty nice for pantry organization. Again, a little pricey, but not much more than you'd pay if bought online considering shipping.
Regarding water storage, I'd hunt for 55 gal food grade drums on Craigslist. I've seen them for $15-20. The water bricks are pretty dang cool.. the price tag is holding me up on that. Hope to get them eventually though.
