Ordered from DVOR.com. I was super excited for this hand held imager after doing a lot of research on it vs. the Leupold LTO and the FLIR Scout TK. This unit as the best refresh rate out of the three, as well as great resolution for the money.
Unit came in and was defective - Completely unusable. It's as if the thermal camera could not focus. Requested for a RMA # from the manufacture thru their website. Received an auto-response that my request would be handled within 3-5 days. While waiting, I found a number of negative reviews about Seek Thermal's customer service. I was pretty nervous.
After waiting 3 days, I contacted DVOR.com and they instantly provided me with a pre-paid FedEx shipping label. They also said there is no restocking fee on defective items. The only negative thing is they can only do store credit, no refunds or exchanges. Not a big deal for me at all since I buy stuff from them regularly.
I suspect the Reveal Pro would've worked great for me if it worked properly. The software and menu system worked great and was easy to use. The frame rate was indeed fast. When going from an A/c office to the blazing hot outdoors, the heat range auto-corrected quite fast. However, it's been 5 days now, still no response. I suppose I could've called Seek Thermal directly, but how long would I have to wait for the unit to come back?? Now I have to decide between the FLIR or the Leupold. Any suggestions?
