California has always believed they are better than everyone else with their unique auto emission standards. It's easy for Hawaii to follow along.

I think California "invented" SMOG!  They have always had issues with pollution, primarily with the large population areas, number of vehicles, and the mountains and valleys preventing the clouds of smoke and fog from moving on with the winds and weather.

Quote
1943:  First recognized episodes of smog occur in Los Angeles, though it takes a few years for scientists to figure out that
cars are the culprit. For now, a chemical plant is suspected as the cause of the brown hue in the San Fernando Valley
skies. In October, county supervisors appoint a Smoke and Fumes Commission to study the dense smoke.

I hope we do someone needs to.

Trump offered to renegotiate the Paris Accord, knowing they wouldn't, thus exposing their fraud and hypocrisy.

All France cared about was the money we'd be sending to the rest of the countries involved.

BINGO!!! Get the man a Girl Scout Cookie!!!

Why should we be paying other countries to lower their emissions voluntarily? We are lowering our emissions an average of 1.2% a year without being a part of this Paris ripoff agreement. If we can do it voluntarily without this Paris ripoff agreement, then every country can and should do it also.

Why was China allowed to increase their pollution emissions until the year 2030 in the Paris ripoff agreement? Stupid people don't care about these major details and make light of them.

Stupid people don't care about these major details and make light of them.
I wish all the people involved in these various "control" schemes were "stupid". Unfortunately a significant percentage of the ones in positions of "power" (almost all wealthy elites, or politicians on their way to being wealthy elites) are enacting an agenda and are not stupid at all. Clever, devious, liars, engaging in subterfuge... yes. Stupid, no. Of course the "useful idiots" are stupid, and make up the vast majority of the populuous who support their own enslavement. Nothing new there.

Through most of the outrage I'm hearing about this, most don't seem to have read much about the issue. I mean I don't know everything about it, but when I hear about people stating that Trump is "breaking international laws", I just sigh...

Many others who haven't been blinded from seeing the (seeming) reality of the situation, ask if people have actually done research on the issue instead of depending on "facts" from the MSM.

Regarding the treaty, I'm not sure what penalties it has (had) if the US doesn't follow the requirements. They were mostly symbolic AFAIK. Trump was going to deregulate the coal industry with or without the treaty.

Now we all have to convert our electric stoves to coal. Steam powered cars will be the future.

So they are going to continue to pay for what the US as a whole was on the hook for as part of this "great accord"?

It basically boils down to this.  You are in a neighborhood and everyone throws away trash.  Some throw away more, some throw away it better.  But as a whole the community has a trash problem.   Now everyone gets together and says lets fix this issue.  They work out a deal where some people get a little help to throw away trash better.  While some people pay a bit more.  The whole point in the end is to have a cleaner community.  Then one of the larger more influential homes, who previously was a leader of the entire community, one day gets a new head of the household who doesn't give a fuck about anyone but their own yard.  Doesn't worry about the future smell impacts or anything decides to pull out of the whole thing.  Now the next step is the whole community views this household as a bunch of idiots and will now shun and exclude them from events.

TLDR USA will sufferer and we will hurt the world and our reputation.  China will be the new superpower at this rate.

except in the paris scenario, they are looking for 2.0 degrees C by 2030, and research shows that it will reduce by 0.17 degrees C by 2100
so in your example, instead of cleaning up the entire neighborhood in 13 years, they would clean up less than 10% of the neighborhood in 83 years

EXCELLENT TRUMP: 5 Reasons Trump Is Right To Pull Out Of The Paris Accord

Excellent summary.  Anyone on this forum who doesn't think Trump was right should read this and then offer facts why the 5 points are wrong.  Otherwise, their positions are just more Trump-hating, Climate Change Religion worshiping tripe.

Boils down to this. Just another example of lip service by politicians and generally ignorant public eating it up and asking for seconds without really taking the time to look into things for themselves.

Just like how people never really read the EO on travel restrictions. Many people didn't realize that the origins of the restriction goes back over 50 years and that Obama had essentially done the same.

Always was a scheme of Obozo's income redistribution dreams, and an easy way to damage the country.

That is made moonbats orgasm was just icing.

That's exactly why Germany is pissed off at the U.S. and Trump. They are left holding the hundreds of billions of dollars/marks bill to pay off the other countries.

The big complaint I am hearing right now is that the U.S. should be leading the way with this Paris accord and that Trump is a lousy leader for taking us away from it. But in my opinion I am extremely happy that the leader of the FREE WORLD is freely leading the way away from making major payola payments to countries who hate us and leading us towards being FREE from this agreement. That is what freedom is all about. We are already setting the example by us lowering our emissions voluntarily. Let the others follow. Which we all know they won't because their actions speak louder than their words and they already have shown they won't. JMHO
