Subject: Plant Propagation Expo on July 7-8, 2017

Please join CTAHR and it’s agricultural partners for the upcoming Plant Propagation Outdoor Expo at the Urban Garden Center in Central Oahu on July 7-8, 2017.

Researchers, Extension Agents, Master Gardeners, and CTAHR students will use the hands-on teaching demonstration approach and heavy visuals to assist new and emerging food producers in understanding and gaining technical skill in propagating crops via seeds, cuttings, air layering, and grafting. Our hope is to advance the cultivation of food in our island state.

Day one is targeted at meeting the educational needs of agricultural producers. Day two is targeted at urban and backyard producers. You are welcome to attend any date available.

Hawaii Department of Agriculture, USDA Farm Service Agency, Oahu RC&D, West Oahu Soil and Water Conservation District, Hawaii Farm Bureau, Hawaiian Earth Products, Smart Yields, EM Hawaii, Hawaii Agriculture Research Center (HARC), and various programs from UH CTAHR such as Agribusiness Incubator Program (AIP), Sustainable and Organic Agriculture Program (SOAP), Master Gardener Program, ADSC Seed Lab, Sustainable Pest Management Lab, etc. will host educational booths on Day 1 for growers to learn about the many public, and private agricultural programs currently available. Participants will have a chance to sign up for state, federal and non profit programs and ask questions face to face.

Please register online here:
