The 60's were a simpler time when TV could be fun without hidden agendas and political correctness.
What I think is even better is that during that time it was the same bit actors/comedians on all the different comedy and variety shows. They all did cameos on each others shows, as well. And if you saw a trailer and it had a cameo of someone you liked, you would make a mental note to tune in to watch. I remember Car 54, Gilligans Island, McHales Navy, Bewitched, And Griffith, Beverly Hillbillies, Munsters, Dick Van Dyke, I dream of Jeannie, Adams Family, Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, Gomer Pyle, F Troop, My Favorite Martian, Mister Ed, Dobie Gillis, Dennis the Menace, etc. The list goes on and on....
