The whole point of her making the distinction was to state that the shooter could have been firing an automatic weapon due to the rate of fire (which of course isn't borne out by any of the video of the incident) compared to the police handguns which would have been actual semi-autos. She may have misspoken about the distinction between semi-auto and auto, and said "semi-automatic" when she meant to say "automatic", but she was clearly referring to a fully automatic weapon ("So the difference is a pistol can fire one shot at a time... pop... pop...pop... which is what the Capitol police were carrying. This individual had a rifle, a semi-automatic, which means that you can switch it to a point where it fires pop.pop.pop.pop.pop, multiple rounds.") and she then goes on to say "And this [full auto "mistakenly" called "semi-auto") is very likely the type of weapon that he's using, that is the type of weapon that we see in these mass shooting attacks."

I stand by my first appraisal. She's a fucking moron. And add that she's even more of a fucking moron and a liar with her attempt to cover her obvious ignorance with a "correction" that doesn't explain the most egregious error of her statement (auto rifles are used in mass public shootings... as I believe the correct number is zero), which could not have been a mere misstatement of one word for another. 1.
