Happening now active shooter in san francisco UPS facilities. Couple dead bodies on the ground. This is in addition to Virginia today. This is on 17th and San Bruno if you know .

Without looking at all, let me guess: UPS does not allow employees to bear arms on site? Of course I also understand that the issuance of CCW in San Francisco is approximately the same as Hawaii (zero), and like Hawaii, open carry is (officially) banned.

Most likely even if you had a CA CCW, you probably can't carry in a federal facility which USPS is probably.

I think you mean the regular post office, USPS, United States Postal Service.  This took place at United Parcel Service, UPS.

Shooting at UPS, not USPS.

UPS is not a post office.  Private shipper.

I always get the 3 confused. Fedex, UPS, USPS.  The Fedex and UPS guys give me a dirty look when I give them the wrong box.  The wife sells a lot of stuff on ebay.

"We also prohibit the unauthorized possession and/or use of weapons by any employee while at work, on company property, or while on company business."

Is unauthorized possession defined?  Because I am a law abiding citizen I am allowed to posses a firearm.  So can I carry?  Or do they mean you need UPS management authorization to carry?

That phrase normally means the company can authorize people to have firearms.

Kind of like the signs on doors that say "Authorized Personnel Only."


On Law&Order, Dennis Farina played Joe Fontana.  He used the line, "Oh, we're authorized" to get people to volunteer information, like patient records, etc.  It was in the script, but they all bought the line!   :rofl:

Some states passed laws you can not be barred from having firearms in parking lots belonging to the company, because that would directly require the employee to be disarmed during their commute to and from work.

I highly doubt California has such a law.

I've been in the UPS Ontario Hub and it is literally a mile long filled with conveyor belts and loading docks and air ramps. No matter what happens at the Hub, the packages still have to be delivered.

I wonder if Flag Day has something to do with all the active shooters?

I think it's backlash from the "disappointing" Comey hearings, and the fact Trump didn't get immediately led away in handcuffs.

From recounts, to faithless electors, to Russian hacker collusion, now to a non-existent cover-up, the anti-Trump ANTIFA whack jobs are at the end of their ropes. 

If they can't take Trump's presidency down within the system, they sit back hoping one of their rank-and-file snaps and does something like this.
