Possibly premature... possibly 100% wrong... but I'm (at this point) labeling this "fake news".

Doesn't a business have to have some kind of official government permission slip to sell retail ammunition? That's what I was told a couple of years ago by someone at the Hilo Walmart. They could have just been making that up to short circuit a (potentially) lengthy discussion as I would have hounded them about why all the Walmarts on the mainland sell guns and ammo but the ones in Hawaii don't...

To sell ammo in Hawaii you need a state license as well. To get this they would need an FFL. (To my understanding)

There are places selling ammo in Hawaii and not selling firearms.  if they can do it, I don't think a company with Walmart's resources will have a problem getting their paperwork in order.

If that paperwork is anything like the paperwork to get a CCW license here they've got a BIG problem... 

I worked at the pearl city store. I'll stop by and ask some of my management friends about it.

Hey Dusty I just missed you by about 20 minutes. I went over there to the Kapolei store. They had the same cleaning kit that is shown in the OP's photo. And they have the large bottles of Hoppe's #9 that is also in the photo. Only $12.67. I know where to go to get Hoppe's. But it doesn't appear they are making room for new cleaning supplies.

So did that huge ammo shipment come in yet? How many thousands of rounds did you guys on Oahu buy?
