Moving to Vegas

Aloha,

Going to Vegas soon to scope out apartments. Got the Vacations Hawaii package. They use Omni airlines.

Anyone have any experience with transporting firearms with Omni. Problems or procedures?  Taking 2 pistols and one box of ammo for each pistol. .380 and 9mm.

I read the forums other posts on subject and no mention of Omni. The airlines website has no info. I am planning to call after this post.

Looking for actual forum members experience with Omni and Vacations Hawaii.

I've got the TSA policy Just cannot find OMNI policy.

Omni is not a normal Airline, they are private chartered flights.

Omni's website just points you to the TSA website.  Follow the TSA restrictions, and you should be fine.  If you have questions, then it'll be best to call and document who, what and when in case someone gives you a different answer at check-in.

I have had the chance to fly Omni but it wasn't to Las Vegas.

dg maybe a call to Vacations Hawaii since they are chartering the plane would be in order.

They operate under FAR part 135  (air charter) the same as any private jet service.
Unlike many airlines that operates under FAR  part 121 which has far more restrictions.

Suka is correct.  Omni is a charter service and has had a no ammo policy since January after the Fort Lauderdale shooting.

If the only restriction is no ammo, that can easily be purchased in Vegas.

We've flown Omni to LV several times and it is my opinion that there won't be any room for guns     but the musubi inflight dinner is nice.

Enjoy a state that actually gives law abiding citizens their constitutional right.  No mag cap, shall issue CCW, castle law, etc...
