If a landlord allows a noisy neighbor to stay and bother all the other tenants, he's in violation and could be sued by the others.  There is an expectation you will have peaceful enjoyment of your property when you rent, and if the kid is hanging his speakers out the window and blasting obscenities, the landlord has to do something to stop it.

Apparently, the kids were only staying there temporarily with the landlord's permission -- just for a week.  After this, he has every right to kick the kids out since they are just guests of the renters.

Within the confines of the law.  Break the noise pollution laws, which most areas have, and you face consequences.  The Cops were right.  The "protestor" was wrong.  I'm sure he didn't have a permit or stand in a public place to do his "protest".

I applaud the kid, good job for his Constitutional right being able to do this without being arrested.

 Not in good taste , but the Constitution protects these rights.

Unfortunately not illegal to be a disrespectful asshole.  I just wish karma dealt with such people "better".  And yeah, there are constitutional rights that protect such behavior.  While I don't like the behavior, I do respect the person's right to act in such way.  As well as I respect people who put forth efforts to put such people in their place.
