300 BLK case primer pockets

I have Hornady cases and processed LC cases I got from the Gun Show. I'm starting to notice that as I use the cases more and more, it's becoming easier to seat the primers into the pockets. The only problem I've had that may be related is one slam fire but the primer stayed in the pocket. Is there something about 300 BLK cases that expands the width? I've never seen it mentioned on the internet but thought I'd ask.

It happens.
When I first started reloading 223 many decades ago, I had difficulty obtaining brass. So I would keep reloading the same shells. Sometimes I would find the primers had just fallen out of the pocket and powder spilling out.
IIRC, it would take maybe 4 or 5 reloads before it got that bad.

yeah, the primer pockets tend to loosen up after a while.  usually the primer pocket will become loose before the necks split for my rifles.

let me know if you need brass.  i have too much.

getting back to the subject of loose holes now...some brands of primers seem to fit tighter than others.
Not sure if it was the size or hardness, but that's what I've heard people say. :rofl:

Maybe you can extend the usable life by switching to a different brand of primer.

Using Federal Match primers. The match is only $3 more at SEC. I'll try CCI next time.
