you missed the seasonal outdoor items about 2 months ago. they brought in multiple tents and sleeping bags

sams club has alternative options to costco. different sizes and brands.

j.hara also has supplies. not sure if they have a tent, but they have the smaller items that could be of use.

I just realized that Patagonia on Ward has some camping gear but still mostly clothes. I stopped in at the North Face in Ala Moana today and apparently they do have tents and sleeping bags they brought in recently. Unfortunately I don't want to spend $300 on a tent then another $300 on a sleeping bag, especially when it isn't even made in America.

Propane or white gas lamps, stove, cookware.
Hardcore camping up in the mountains or weekend at Malaekahana ?

Nothing specific yet, just building a camping gear set. I ended up ordering a tent on Amazon. I have a small cooking set but not big enough for a family.

LED lantern are getting quite good as of late so I am undecided whether I would include a gas lantern or not. If you have a central larger propane tank that you can run a line off of then it is an attractive option. Great if you have a larger crowd though.

How big a family.
White gas (Coleman Fuel/kerosene) is cheaper and last's much longer than battery's or propane.
Having  a " larger propane" tank isn't really camping to me (what you can carry in).
