Thoughts?

Personally I'm getting pretty tired of perpetrators being able to play the victim card.

I saw that. Makes you wonder 1) why did he shoot the ground ammo ain't cheap. 2) since when did criminals get more leeway then the guy protecting his property? But then again it's NH.

Pretty sad he's being charged.

I can already see the prosecution's case;
"Judge obviously he didn't fear for his life, maiming, sodomy, or rape.  He fired into the ground.  If he was truly in fear he would have shot at the person exiting his neighbor's house."

What would happen here in Hawaii?  The ground is a "safe direction," but he was outside of his house, which is not allowed according to our wonderful laws . . .

Samething, they would throw every single book on the shelf at someone who did that in Hawaii. Then it would play in the hawaii media for months.

And the DA has to think it over?

I wonder if he's elected or appointed.

I do believe that the radical and crazy notion that the Founders meant what they said, is gradually soaking through the judicial system.

Dunno man.  The prosecutor's office has been pretty good about when you are trying to protect yourself, but this isn't the case here.

Keep in mind that the guy is not on his property and the older gentleman is shooting to warn.  He should have shot the guy in the ass and told the police he thought the guy was trying to run and get a gun/cover, or said it was an AD due to the stress of the situation.

In Texas he probably could have drilled him and gotten a medal.

Despite this, I still love the place.  License plates read, "live free or die".  No gun reg, no permits.  Only nics check.

And this is why we tell people - you only shoot to stop.  You can only shoot to stop when your life is in danger.  If it wasn't good enough to kill someone, then don't pull the trigger.

Is it legal to shoot to stop an ongoing felony in New Hampshire?
