Got your Aloha Green?
« on: August 13, 2017, 07:38:10 PM »
Anyone trading their right to own firearms for a "Green Card"?
Can this be reversed or get off the registry if you change your mind or your health problems are cured and no longer need the card?

Don't quote me, but I seem to remember reading you can be declared no longer addicted if you've been free of regular usage for twelve months.

I believe this backs up my memory ...

Quote
They will, in fact, not allow a registered patient to obtain a permit for a full year after their medical marijuana card expires.
The report states, “Former medical marijuana patients can successfully apply one year after the expiration of their
medical marijuana approval cards.”

I'll probably trade in my guns for a MM card after I am diagnosed with Alzheimer's. That way I won't remember what I did and I won't care.

OK I thought a green card was what immigrants (here legally) used to be able to work.

Sounds like you guys are about something else.

I thought this was about immigrants too.

Is there any long term problems on the Federal side relating to firearms since it's still considered a crime?

Very few things could possibly make more of a mockery of the notion that government is concerned with the rights of people based upon any rational and logical principles than the Federal government listing cannabis as a "Schedule I" drug (more "dangerous" according to "them" than methamphetamine and cocaine which are lower-ranked Schedule II). Utterly and totally preposterous, inane, absurd, illogical, irrational, and, in my personal opinion, certifiably insane. Other than that, good policy with great consequences especially for firearms enthusiasts and believers in the Constitution and any notions of personal freedom and liberty.

WTF Ren!

I didn't know Ren was old enough to know about that movie. Believe it or not it had (or maybe still has) a cult following. I know exactly which scene he posted and I am not going to watch it as I know what happens. Fortunately it was at the end of the movie so one could get up and walk out and not miss much. This brings back memories of the Stanton Picture Palace when you could still smoke in the theaters and people would light up joints and smoke out while watching this and other cult classic movies. Ownership turned a blind eye and allowed people to smoke out in the theater. Especially when they would run a triple feature of marijuana propaganda movies from the 30's with the finally feature: Reefer Madness
