can this take reg bx25 mags? And how much was the stock?

Bruddah djsmiles808, not sure about compatibility with BX25 mags, but just in case you were interested, I'm pretty sure I saw this stock sitting on the middle counter at Windward Gun Shop just this past Sunday afternoon.

Sorry, but I didn't check to see how much it was...

Those last two 10/22's are GREAT!!! The best part is they are fun to shoot!

and fun to modify.
its much like modifying Mustangs.
you start with something cheap, modify with tons of aftermarket parts,
until you spend 5 times more on parts than the original gun is worth.   ;D
but its a fun journey.

I tried to advertise a couple of times. Mostly I got no response or someone trying to sell me one for more than you can get one at SA for ($229). Good luck tho. If you really don't mind spending the bucks you can buy each part separately. Check out tactical solutions website. You can buy new receivers, bolts, etc.

I have a practically new wood stock with barrel band and blued barrel that I'd sell if interested.  I shot less than 100 rounds through the rifle in stock configuration.  Never used the barrel or stock after that. $70 for both?

I got the rifle from SA and then pretty much just used the receiver.

thanks bro was mostly looking for a receiver though. lots of other people seem to be selling all the other parts except for the receiver

edit.
just saw the links flyboy posted up.  damn the receivers are expensive and all companies seem to be out of stock and no back ordering.  i think im better off just buying a 10/22, keeping it stock and just shooting it.  thats all i really wanted it for anyways.

You could also check places like gunbroker for the receiver.  I've seen them for less than $100 there but you do have to ship it to an FFL of course.  Daniel at Kaneohe Gun Shop is probably the best deal for cheap transfers as he usually charges a % or less than $20 for cheap stuff like that.

This place has the best price for the buck: http://www.tacticalmachining.com/10-22-receiver.html

Only problem is that, like most places right now, they are out of stock. Also, by the time you also buy a bolt and extractor/firing pin parts for it you may be able to buy a complete 10/22 cheaper. But, with that said, if you are looking to build the ultimate tack driver. One that will put just about any match rifle to shame then you want a machined receiver and bolt plus all the other goodies.

Kidd guns are a deal at about $1k for a full build 10/22.  If you buy and build on your own its easy to out spend $1k if you look at replacing all including the reciver.  For about $550 you can get a fj federson build which is a stock gun with a gun smith fitter custom barrel.

thats true.  all this time i thought i was looking for a reciever.  then i looked through the links flyboy posted, and was like, these are incomlete, i gotta buy the other parts.  then i seen complete ones for sale, and the price, and i was like, im just gonna buy a stock one.  not looking for a crazy custom build or anything.

thanks for all the help and links and whatnot.

I saw this at Koko Head today. It is a dress-up kit with dummy 5.56mm NATO belt. The magazine is stock 10/22 and hidden under all the cosmetics.
