Understand many do not like the grroves.  never bothered me, but notice no improvement in the shape of the trigger guard that does bother me.

My Glock 34 Grooves never bothered me but the 19 ones are right where my Sausage fingers want to be.

He doesn't say anything bad about pretty much any gun -- not just Glocks.  He uses varying degrees of good opinions, but I've never seen any firearm fall short of his standards.   

I may have missed one or two of his videos, but that's how I see his reviews.   

The Gen 5 trigger is vastly improved, partly due to the new firing pin safety plunger having less of a cliff and also to improvements in the trigger group.  We swapped the new slide to a gen 4 frame and could tell the difference the new plunger design makes..... I can't tell you why it took 30 years to figure it out but I'm glad they did lol. 

Everyone want's innovation and said that Glock didn't do enough but I can't think of another polymer frame that comes with a factory flared magwell, it's subtle but it makes a difference.  It's not going to make up for a lack of training but will increase reload speed for experienced shooters.  Is it game changing?  No.... is it an improvement?  Absolutely.

So the important question, would I replace my Gen 4's with the new gen 5?  Nope.  Is it a great gun for new shooters or people that were on the fence for getting a glock?  Absolutely.  Personally I think it's worth the ~$650 it'll end up costing but with Gen 4's dropping to Gen 3 prices that's also an option for the budget minded individuals.

Nice.  Looks like I missed out on a chance to try the Gen 5 17 and 19. 

I'm particularly interested in trying out the new trigger.  From what I've seen from online reviews (one of them from LAV) is that the accuracy seems to be improved over previous generations, but it's not like I am capable of maxing out the accuracy of the Gen 4 guns either.  But good to have better accuracy potential of the gun itself. 

Interesting note about the flared magwell.  You'll have an opportunity to test that under a shot timer in about a month.   

While I am certainly interested, at $650, I'll likely hold off.  At least for a while.  Though this and the deals on VPs right now are really tempting me to buy.

For me, a couple of factors that keep me with Glock is aftermarket support and I already have a lot of Glock stuff.  Well, that and I like how they shoot, they shoot "good enough" for me, have been reliable, etc.  That said, I have already ventured into PPQs, which don't have that much aftermarket stuff.  I have yet to even touch the p10c, but from what I can see, it has a lot of features that I like.

P10, P10c, P320 (maybe not) and VP9 for me.     Well, maybe 2 out of the bunch.

I've been researching the P10 & P10c a lot lately and I'm getting more and more interested in trying those.  While a Glock 19 is still quite high on my list of guns that I want to get, I think the P10c would be good to compliment that addition.  At minimum to do side-by-sides with a gun that is appears is supposed to be a direct competitor. 

The grip angle of Glocks never bothered me, nor did I really notice until I started reading about how people commenting on it and how other guns "point (more) naturally".  I'll have to shoot my 17 and PPQ side-by-side one day and try to notice the difference. 

I'm not really a true fan of any gun company.  I certainly have my favorites and will recommend some, but it's not like I don't see the shortcomings of any of the brands/companies that I do like.  And I am always on the lookout for something better.  That's why I am so interested in the P10 series now.   

Got to shoot both the Gen 5 Glocks and a P10c yesterday. 

I was able to shoot both a Gen 5 17 and then later a 19.  I shot maybe 20 through the 17 and maybe 40 or so through the 19.  The trigger is nice and the difference is definitely noticeable.  Didn't really notice the revised grip either way.  The finger bumps on the Gen 4 actually fit me pretty well.  Didn't notice the flared magwell much either, but only did a few reloads to see if I would notice anything.  From that limited experience, I would say that they are nice, but not enough for me to go out and get one soon.  I've been wanting a 19 for a while and when that urge becomes too much to ignore, I'll get the Gen 5.  Even if it means that I pay a slight premium over the Gen 4, or what I paid for the Gen 4s that I have.

The P10c was nice, but it didn't floor me.  The trigger was nice, but I like the trigger on my PPQs better.  The reset also had a weird filling.  Sort of felt like something pushing the trigger forward just before the reset.  Difficult to explain.  Not good or bad, but just different from the reset on my Glocks and PPQ.  The grip texturing however was pretty aggressive.  Particularly the texturing on the backstrap and sides.  During recoil, I could feel it almost trying to rip pieces of skin of the meaty part of my right hand thumb.  Similar sensation when I shot the CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow with the grip panels that it came with. 



I guess I'm used to aggressive front strap serrations, but maybe not the sides.  It's WAY more aggressive than the Gen 4 Glocks.  Something that I think I could get used to.  Maybe if I were shooting more often.

As for accuracy, they are both plenty accurate for me.  The P10c has FO front sights, which was nice.  The Glocks had the stock plastic sights.  I didn't really notice a difference with the "newer/improved" rear sight look on the Gen 5 Glock, but I haven't really shot Glocks much with the stock plastic sights.  If I had to pick which one I shot better, if would probably be the P10c.  Both are really nice guns though.

You should get both a Gen 5 34 and the P10c and do a comparison.  Since you're interested in both.   

One "negative" in going with a different platform is having to buy stuff like mags, holsters, pouches, etc.  But if the P10c can use G19 holsters (or at least some of most of them), then that would really be helpful. 

I've got 2 CZ's on my wishlist.  The P-10 c  and a 75 P-01 compact.  I want the P-10 c as a $500 option for students and the P-01 for when I feel like carrying appendix lol.  My brother in law is going to pick up a gen 5 17 this week, his first firearm so I'll look forward to bringing him to fun shoots to run thousands of rounds through that thing lol....
