If I setup a table in public or at a gun show and handout voter registration applications, are there rules for this kinda stuff?  Like I can't promote a particular candidate?

If you are not a nonprofit you could promote anyone you like, I believe...

============
There is some rules about campaigning at the gun show. HHAA cannot endorse nor oppose any political candidate.
RE voter registration.....I dunno. Probably ok but  I wouldn't rent a table just for that.

We did something similar a couple of years back. Lots of promises and agreement, virtually no results. Go ahead though, maybe it'll be different this time, and the only way things will change is if the current crop of thieves is voted out.

Thanks, that was what I was looking for.

Yea, I noticed the same behavior.  Usually you only get less than 5% who follow through.  Gotta have them actually fill it out and turn it in at the table to be effective.

Yes

I have learned a lesson in the past.  At the time, I usually tried to vote absentee.  One year, I think it was 2012, something happened and I never got my ballot.  I ended up going to vote at a local polling station.  It was a little humbug back then as I was still registered at my dad's address since I lived with him when I first moved back to Hawaii.

Now, I live within walking distance from City Hall, so I just walk there and vote.  It was great in 2016 as I saw a LOT of people getting out and voting.  Even though most probably voted for Clinton, it was good to see more people getting out and voting than previous years.

We are still registered.  Considering going mail in, but frankly do not trust that.

Of course, our choices are usually against the majority, but you never know.  Ige is not worth a shiite, but kicking out the smelly old communist was just too tempting.

Must be a US Citizen, or a registered Democrat.  Either seems to be okay.   :wave:

Because i can't justify spending the $800 or so to become a citizen to do so.

Yep it was tried. Got to speak with a lot of people that Sunday doubtful it really accomplished anything.
