Are backpacks allowed at the Gun Show?
« on: September 29, 2017, 08:30:27 AM »
Only my second gun show visit and feel I need a better carrying system than a hand bag.  Keeps hands free and carries a lot the back pack does.  Anyone know?  Thanks in advance

For blaisdell events, bags and backpacks are allowed.  if not, it can be a real pita to carry stuff around.  only problem is when shows are busy, backpack can be bulky, so just got to try to be considerate and not whack people or take up too much space. lol

Backpacks are OK

Rolling carts are generally prohibited during public hours.

HPD searches through all bags at the entrance.

Reminds me, I need to get cash out of the ATM for tomorrow.

Good to bring a bag since vendors can't give out plastic bags anymore.

I bring my Costco tote bag since it's strong enough to carry a few cases of ammo in it.

Thanks to all--question answered.  Pocketbook restricts the size of my back pack so I'll be ok with courteous maneuvering.  I wanted to bring some ammo for bartering and a very old Buck skinner.  Guess that might be a problem, no? ;D

The flyer for the show says "BUY - SELL - TRADE - BROWSE".  Trading is part of the event.  You should leave the ammo and knife in the car and ask at the entrance if it's okay to bring in.  If not, you could negotiate the trade at the event and meet outside to seal the deal.
