New Benefits - in compliance with new state mandates:

Gender Identity Services

Covered when medically necessary to treat gender dysphoria. Certain services require Prior Authorization:
• gender reassignment surgery
• hospital room and board
• hormone injection therapy
• laboratory monitoring
• other gender reassignment surgery related services and supplies which are medically necessary and not excluded; these include but are not limited to sexual identi cation counseling, pre-surgery consultations and post-surgery follow-up visits

I am paying for this!!! 

I am all for counseling services but anything beyond that should be an elective surgery and paid out of pocket by the person wanting the surgery

Needless to say I am quite angry about being forced to pay for coverage I will never use.

Look on the bright side. If you decide to to do a 180, you are good to go!

All of you realize that this affects you directly. Since it is a new state mandate, it means it effects everyone. Insurance costs go up for your employer and landlords and maybe you directly like it does me. Eventually, it will trickle down to all of you as it has me.

Seeing what I’ve seem through a family member going to health issues recently, we’re paying for a LOT! Many who haven’t paid a cent into the system. I’ll leave it at that. We can chat about that more over beers. Might need a few.
