So, what was the problem in case someone else encounters ?  Just crappy ammo?

A little bit of that mixed with a little bit of technique issues + a few more rounds through it. Got my 50+ year old mom shooting it no problems.

I may be obtuse, but fail to see how any sort of technique issue could cause a light primer strike.

Limp wristing causing ejection issues, yes.

To be honest, I own a glock and it is extremely reliable.
I absolutely would trust it to be my self defense firearm. But that doesn't mean I enjoy shooting it.

What I don't like is the haughty "glock perfection" motto that glock fanboys chant incessantly.
By the same token, I don't like 1911 fanboys ranting about their guns either.

Agree...but you can't beat a rock...... very dependable and readily available. The bigger the better....
