Please attend and distribute this flyer to other 2a activists for workshops on how to testify to the legislature.  This will be very important with the upcoming antigun legislative bills in January 2018.  We will need hundreds of testimonies submitted and also people testifying in person to block the assault weapon bans, rifle magazine limits, and other gun bans in Hawaii.

There are also free State Capital tours that you can take during the week to learn about the lawmaking process and how to navigate around the capital.

Firstbworkshop is coming up on Monday in Wahiawa.  Come represent the 2a community and do something.

I'll be at every session that I can, to start with the Wahiawa session, who's coming? I'll help answer any questions you have on this and for the 2a movement.

I went to the Wahiawa session last night and it was informative.  They gave tips on writing testimony, how to propose new laws, and answered a lot of my questions.  I recommend everyone attend, even if you've testified before.

They also went over why testimonies are uploaded to the website late or after the hearing.

Hawaii County has "remote testimony" from three locations other than the site of the county council meeting (which alternates between Hilo and Kona sides). You would still have to travel (in my case at least 30 minutes each way) to the testimony sites. You can pretty much call anyone anywhere in the world (with optional video), but the state can't (won't?) allow people to testify from their homes even though the technology has existed for a long time. I know that a lot of the various NRA News shows feature real time guests via skype (with video) from their homes... and it almost always works. Why doesn't the state want as much testimony as possible made as convenient as possible for people on the other islands, or even from Oahu locations farther from the Capitol building? We all know why: for the same reasons that year after year the Democratically-controlled legislature refuses to even consider bills to empower the populace (the "people... from whom all power is derived") for recall, initiative, referendum and term limits. They don't want any more input from the unwashed masses than they must to make a show of "listening". I wish Tupola the best and will support her and the bill, but if Sam Slom couldn't do anything in all his years...

Lots of folks here are very active and do participate. Just we are more low key about it. That and don’t particularly take too kindly to being called lazy f$@$as.... just sayin...
