“To me she's my little girl — she's my honey,” he said, trying to hold back his emotion. “I told the doctors, ‘[If] she dies, you die. I don't mean to threaten you. I am a nice person, but if she dies, you die.'"

If I was the doctor I would've walked away from that threat. I don't understand that when someone says they don't mean it but says it anyways.

You hit the nail on the head. Feel bad for his wife but he is a total asshole IMHO

Had a property line dispute with my neighbor once. Comcast needed to run another line to the road. The neighbor (actually Mormon) told the installer that she will kill anyone who disturbs her lawn. Needless to say, the installer had a mostly worried look on his face because she sounded serious, mostly. My theory is that they were kicked out of Utah some time in the past.

I understand he was emotional so I give him a pass on this one, despite his rep.

I do however know that she's not the greatest person either.  My speech professor ref's Pop Warner football.  The coaches save a parking stall in the front of the parking lot for the refs.  This way, they're not late to the games trying to find parking.  So there was an open stall with a cone blocking it.  Beth parks her SUV there.  The coaches tell her who and what the stall is reserved for and that a ref is running late.  She didn't care and started mouthing off on how it's her stall now.

So on TV, they make like they're all good people, but in the end, they're really working to protect the money they had to put up if someone jumps bond.

I've dealt with a couple of their crew in person.  Couple of "you know who I am" by association type assholes.

I was at Side Street with friends many years ago.  One of the local TV show hosts (think it was a cooking show) and he started demanding space, his food this, his food that.  I used to enjoy his show, which he puts on a nice front.  Totally turned me off after that.

you are the 4th or 5th person I've heard that I've heard that from

I said "don't you know who I am!" at sec to the guys and an HPD officer told me, "you know who said that to me? dog the bounty hunter's wife"
started cracking up because that's why I say it

first heard about it long ago when one of my patients told me she was screaming that at the mcmanager at arby's in windward mall over her son's kids meal toy...

I worked on that show for a day and it was awful. Non-union reality show crews usually get treated like crap, but they took it to the level of abuse. Never seen such a concentration of overgrown spoiled children, and the producers did everything they could to encourage that dysfunctional behavior. I don't hate them because that would be a waste of energy, but they are a symbol of our diseased culture. The bail bond industry is government enforced loan sharking and it's an ideal occupation for morally bankrupt loudmouth parasites. I'm convinced the reason they chose Hawaii is because anywhere else they would be dead already. For some reason we will put up with a lot of crap from someone as long as they have money.

A couple months back I got stuck behind her driving back from Nalo to their Portlock turnoff. She was swerving all over the road and huge clouds of pakalolo smoke were pouring out of the SUV. She was driving very erratically and almost had a head on collision crossing over the lines. At first I was like wth is going on, then I noticed the plates that say DOG WIFE or something like that and it all made sense.
If you allow government to break the law for an "emergency" they will create "emergencies" to break the law.

From watching their first few shows, they are vehemently anti 2a and understandably so. Its amazing that they didnt go knocking or forcibly enter the wrong residence.
