This story goes a lot deeper.  From what I’m hearing on the Windward side,  this might have been a shake down and trying to extort money.  Maybe Nalo Mafia sh!t... The guy that got stabbed, tried to hold up a gambling house in town last month.  Security guy took him down.  Plus he had a loaded pistol with 15 rounds.

Oahu Gun Club is blowing up on this, assuming its legit self defense.  I tell em don't jump to conclusions so fast until we get more info.  We can lose a lot of credibility if we get it wrong.

News said shop has security cameras and someone filmed it also.

Doesnt' look like he's going to get charged.  Sucker punch to the head sounds like a robbery gone wrong (or right).

Family members identified the deceased as Dayson Kaae, 24. They want more answers, because they don’t know what to believe.

“I’m trying to piece things together, who is he with, who did he talk to last, what was he doing there, things like that. Everything just, it’s just not believable at this moment,” said Sade Delos Reyes. “Right now, we want some peace, a little bit of closure.”

Even though Delos Reyes was Kaae’s niece, they grew up together and she called him her brother.

“He was a fun person to be around. Whenever there was family functions, he was always there,” she said.

One thing that boggles my mind is 2 guys go unarmed (assumed) into a cash only tattoo parlor to start trouble, one that is filled with other workers and customers.

Now I know bad guys aren't very smart, but they have a good self-preservation instinct.  Leads me to believe something was going on.

from the family's interview, doesn't sound like he's a role model citizen.  they kept saying stuff like "whatever he did, I'm sure it didn't need to get escalated as far as it did".  Whenver the family brings up stuff like loving son, father to 3 kids, big heart, whatever; instead of the fact that he has a clean record, professional job, model citizen, etc etc, you know he's done a lot of stupid shit before, and it basically caught up to him.  And it's unfortunate for all of them that he got the really short end of the stick instead of going to jail or getting away with the crime.  Like the saying goes, you play stupid games, you might win stupid prizes.
