Four more companies are following in AT&T's footsteps, including one raising their minimum wage to $15/hour.

Such greedy, uncaring capitalists!!!!  Why aren't they using those tax savings to buy back their stock??

Just before the vote, Rosie O'Donnell went hog wild and committed not one, but two, federal crimes on Twitter.  Attempting to bribe elected officials is a big no-no!

Our State Dems should be helping us by lowering our taxes instead of pointing fingers about how this tax plan is going to negatively affect us. Since this caps out local taxes at 10K wouldn't it help us if the State lowered taxes too?

Nope, they'll do the opposite, raise taxes.  Then they will blame it on Trump and the republicans, and the useful idiots will believe it...  Sad but true.  Many people actually think the repulicans just RAISED their taxes!

Of course it will help! Any tax relief will help us. Which is why this tax reform bill is good for almost everyone. I read the non partisan analysis of the tax reform bill and they stated it will help almost everyone. I itemize and I thought they were going to delete some of my deductions. But it turns out in the final bill that most of the current deductions remain or were changed in some way. I'm not into making predictions, but I can see how this bill could stimulate the economy and put more money in EVERYONE'S hands either directly or indirectly.

And it's wonderful some companies are giving kickbacks to employees, just like it's wonderful that ISPs haven't throttled the net to hell yet. Doesn't change the overall graveness of the situation. Just means they understand the boiling frog principal requires turning up the heat gradually.

Our manufacturing jobs didn't walk across the border the day after NAFTA was passed. That would be kind of obvious.

There's no "if".  Here's the link to the tweet on her Twitter feed.  I took that snapshot directly from there.

And, yes, the elite Hollywood idiots always exclude themselves from "the rich" because they have much purer motives than just money.  They're ARTISTS!

Since this bill passed,  now is the perfect time to become a small business owner,  entrepreneurial,  MLM, or anything of that sort because of all the tax breaks/ incentives.

It's good for me right now, no doubt about it. I just don't like it because it's horrible for everyone in the long run.

Talking with non-American friend today and she told me the international press is treating this quite different than our American counterparts who focus on what the tax cuts mean to us individually.

The rest of the world is wondering how we are going to pay our bills, and considering if it makes sense to do business with us any more now that we have checked out of reality.

Just rember in the UK for example you have a 20% tax rate on income of 11-45k No such thing as a tax return (if your an employee) On top of that you pay VAT (value added tax) which is like a sales tax on everything (some things like cigarettes, fuel, alcohol ect have additional VAT added) of 20%.

That means your paying 40% in taxes. And the country is still ran at a deficit.

True.  Obama was the first President to ever have our nation's credit rating downgraded -- not only once, but twice.  And that was on top of raising the tax rates for corporations.

When corporations owe more in government taxes, it's the consumers who wind up paying it, right?

Corporate taxation was already at historical lows even before this legislation passed. According to boardroom logic we should be living in a paradise already. Instead we have crumbling infrastructure, massive unemployment, lousy education, massive deficits, and a free fall in the standard of living. The news is written by people who are paid to not look out the window and see what's really going on.

you brought up fake economic data, the question was about your statement about "real economic data"
