Seems like most people on SSH support CCW, but our law makers don't catch the bus so they assume we are safe and don't need CCW.

It may not mean what you think it means.  Sure it could've turned into something else, but by itself it's not a case where you would shoot someone, but rather promote CCW for peace of mind.

Definitely grounds for putting a dick in the dirt. During the encounter there's no way to know how far Mr. Rapey is going to take it. It's only after the fact he police can label it with whatever minimum charge they choose to make their statistics look better.

People here calling for CCW so the girl could shoot the guy following her.  My question is, why did she not call the police when she saw him following her?  That's stalking.  She could have called 911 and had a Cop catch him anytime between busses.

Same guys that thought about this idea are the ones who think gun free zones work.  And the ban is only from 10pm-4am or something like that.

As the story was written, it was none of these.  Sexual Assault doesn't automatically mean rape.

It would be hard to articulate shooting someone for grabbing a private part on the bus. It isn't just how she feels but whether a reasonable person would think she was in danger of one of the 5 justifiable reasons for deadly force.

In this situation, he followed her off the bus, waiting while she was at the shopping center, called mall security,  then got back on the bus with her.  So had she gotten off at the stop nearest to her home, that's when the articulation would come into play.

But the main point, is that she wouldn't have to be as afraid because she would have the best tool to defend herself if needed.

In this situation presenting pepper spray would be the better option, with a CCW as a backup.  Of course calling 911 or alerting security guards at the mall would've been an even better option.
