Dallas Mayor doesn't want the NRA meeting held there because of demonstrations that would result.

I'm finalizing my trip plans with London808.  We're arrive in Dallas on Thursday, attending the Law Seminar on Friday, exploring Dallas on Monday, then leaving on Tuesday.  Staying at the Hawthorn Suites by Love Field Airport and catching the NRA shuttle to the convention center.

The law seminar is $150 and early registration closes this Saturday.

I got there at 10:45 on a sunday in October, and there were 150+ people in front of me in line (it opens at 11)
I got the beef rib, it was a couple pounds, and cost like 25 bucks, but it was probably one of the best things I have ever ate

About how long did you end up waiting?

I'm all about trying "must try" places, but I can't stand waiting in line for too long.

line moves fast
I ordered and got my food between 11:30 and 11:45
one of the "tricks" is that you can go in and sit and order at the bar and skip the line
not everyone knows this

their fried chicken is supposed to be good too
I ordered it, but it was only ok
when you order the rib, you are paying for the wieght of the bone too, so you don't get 2 lbs of meat
it would porbably be a good idea to go with more than 1 person so you can try the rib and the brisket

NRA is starting a new CCW course that can be customized for each states requirements.  It will be taught to NRA training counselors in 2018.  They're giving a free class to TCs at the NRA annual meeting in Dallas next month so ill hopefully be able to take it there and teach instructors here.

Are they going to teach you how to actually get a CCW license? To my knowledge, the NRA has shown zero interest, much less financial support, for any lawsuit attempting to overturn Hawaii's de facto "no issue" policy. So I suppose that means the "training" is a hypothetical "just in case" scenario should our lords and masters ever legalize self-defense outside the home?

Wonder how many seconds it'll take before someone asks him about bump stocks against his campaign promise of no more infringement on the 2nd...
