If concealed carry we're allowed in Hawaii, what gun would you carry?

Would you go out and buy a new gun for an EDC or would you use one that you already own?

I'd probably start out carrying my Glock 17. I'd also look into a smaller frame 9 mm. Maybe a Glock 19 if I found a reliable one or a Walther PPQ.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it was for news about the Police Chief changing their policy on CCW. I used to have a CCW license when I lived in Washington State and was disappointed to learn about the local policy here when I moved back home.

BTW I dunno.  I've always wrestled about this because of the magazine capacity here.  Ideally it would be a 9 mm for size and capacity, but if you only get 10, then I start thinking about a 1911 with a 7 round magazine.  Too much hypothetical.  :(

I'd have to buy a CC firearm.  My current guns are too big for me to feel comfortable carrying.  I would lean towards the Springfield EMP.

My primary currently is my Sig P228 with the X-Grip 17 round mag mod (x3) plus one in the chamber give me a full deck (52) rounds anytime.  With the TruGlo TFO's I have the same sight picture regardless of lighting or time of day.  For those times when lack of size is important, it's my Sig P232 with a pair of spare mags, 22 rounds total with one in the pipe.
