The North Hollywood bank robbery/shootout.  The prevailing comments from LAPD were constantly laced with "don't want our officers to be outgunned by the bad guys" and HPD jumped ALL OVER that idiotic bandwagon.  The MOST corrupt thing about it when it was passed was that there was only ONE gunsmith/gunstore that was authorized to permanently modify your mags to 10 rounds so that they and you could be in compliance.  ONE gunstore = total corruption/kickbacks/buddy system/all in the Ohana.  I left the islands for Colorado a month before it went into effect.  Me, my 2 P226's and all my 15 round mags.

Are you speaking about this or any other online forum?  Not to try and tick you off, but this and other online forums are private propety and your "fisrt ammendment rights" under the US Constitution and Bill of Rights do not apply.  "Free speech" as it applies to every member of such forums and is limited to whatever the Owner(s), Administrator(s) and Moderator(s) allow.  ALL members are volluntary guests to online forums.  Nobody was forced to join or sign up and there are rules with nearly every one regarding code of conduct or similar guidelines.  Simply put, there ain't no guarentees offered in regards to anyones first ammendment rights to free speech because this is private property.

In addition, the first ammendment allows for citizens to have the freedom to say what they want IN PUBLIC, even criticize the government, without the fear of prosecution from said government.  It does NOT guarentee that anyone is NOT responsible for anyting they may say.  Something the Liberal Media has perverted and perpetuated for decades.  They claim first ammendment this and that and feel like that is carte blanche to say whatever they feel like.  Nope.  You are still, and should be, held accountable for what you say.  Such things as slander and liable statutes cover such things as they pertain to such "free speech" liberties taken irresponsibly.

No such rights exist implied or otherwise on private property.  Your house = you set the rules.  Someone elses house = you gotta obey their rules.

On a side note, who has CCW'd a pistol in another state?

Currently CCWing a Glock 23 in the Crossbreed I got from you here in Oklahoma. I made a road trip from Cali to here and will be heading down to Louisiana for the week. I fully recommend the crossbreed/G23 combo. Very comfortable, not heavy (even with 13 rounds  >:D). I keep two extra mags either in my left front pocket or in a mag holster.  Its been cold so the mag holster has been easy to conceal. The Crossbreed is basically invisible if placed in the right position (7-8 o'clock for me, but I am a lefty).

I have been carrying a Ruger  LCR in .357 mag with one speed loader for quick trips out of the house on short runs to the mini mart and the like.

Roamed around Walmart today and saw two different people packing something. Guess I know what to look for, but I saw printing on them both.

See you guys again in April  :'(

I am gone for good in July.

Relax, I've banned myself..

Some guns and gear for CCW. I have more, but I'm not showing all my secrets.

I almost forgot, "Talk is cheap".

This thread is not my direct mainlander business and I wanted to stay out of it for that reason, but maybe "How would you carry the gun of your choice" should be added to the question... and the answers.

That would be my question, as someone who would most likely be carrying only on weekends due to work (fed) and whose weekend attire is usually cargo shorts and un-tucked t-shirts.  I would guess it would have to be some single-stack 9mm for me.

I was kind of wondering about if anyone thought of "how" because of your weather out there.  In winter, thre's no problem carrying almost anything concealed here, except I change ammo to "that-which-penetrates-best" because of the need to get through thick outerwear in cold weather.

Summer is of course the same problem here because of the light clothing.  When wearing long pants, I will use an ankle rig or a light windbreaker jacket. but I often will wear a Hawaiian-style shirt over my full-sized 1911 in .45.  The flatness of the semiauto handguns allows this.  Revolvers not so much.

So.....  I was wondering if you folks out there, with almost-constant warm weather, had any extra tricks up your sleeves for hot-weather carry, and if you had thought about it for when concealed carry becomes "legal,"

Footnote:  I think it's already "legal" under the highest law of the land, but many  folks who have the keys to the  pokey would disagree with me.

Probably a glock 26, if the magazine capacity didn't matter too I would have the 2 round extender and a glock 17 mag as a back up

Terry,

I've given some thought to how one would carry here. Its not easy. I typically wear a light long sleeve shirt or jacket over a sleeveless T. Both untucked. It wouldn't be too hard to conceal something made for CCW but a full frame anything would be more difficult. People wear more in Hawaii than you might think, as well. Its not unusual to see folks in jeans and button down shirts or t-shirts. Ankle holsters, body band holsters, etc would be easy enough to get away with.

Adding something pressed to your body would up the heat quite a bit, though. I'd prolly carry in a shoulder bag. Not as quick for access but simpler for the climate and comfort. More likely to actually have it instead of thinking "too damned hot today..." I'd modify my existing bag for the holster, as well, instead of buying a "look at me! I have a concealed carry product!" commercially made piece. I know most people wont notice but the police will. While the BI is, by and large, more gun friendly the law is still the same and I see no reason to give the police an excuse to go poking about in my business.

I do think the chances of CCW being allowed here are slim, though. The policy and culture of the State is "Silly Citizen! Guns are for cops!"

If we only could CCW...

I would carry my Glock 19 or Glock 30. I shoot both well enough to have confidence. I prefer Comp Tac IWB holsters if I could legally carry. Easy to switch out the kydex shell for each pistol.
