Hi guys,

Does anybody know the height of the shooting bench on the pistol side? 

I'm having a pistol box made and want to make sure the height of the spotting scope works for me.

Howdy Dave.  When are you going to the range these days?  Mostly rifle?

Anyway, I'm thinking the bench height is taller than the standard 36" counter.  My guess is it's 40". 

Please advise if anybody knows.

I measured it once when I was building a brass catcher. I don't recall exactly. It came up to my waist which is about 34" tall.
On second thought I think you're right about 40"

I'd go with 40 inches. I'm 6 feet tall. This was my only time I've spent at the pistol side.

I found a picture of the bench. I took a screen grab of the 8.5"x11" paper that says to not stack 2 round targets, then measured the bench leg it was posted on.  I got about 38 inches from the top of the sign to the floor.  There's about an inch or two above the sign to the top of the bench.

Conclusion:  39 - 40 inches based on the picture.

I still go pretty much every Sunday morning. Mostly rifle but if you ever want to meet to shoot pistols, just let me know.

I can measure it for you this Sunday if you want. LMK and I'll take the measurement and report back.

They were much more motivated to get it right!  I'm just WAGging it.

For the record, the height of the pistol bench above the ground is 41".
