Passing of Our 2A Ohana
« on: January 12, 2018, 07:20:14 AM »
I am sorry to say that Jim Richman passed recently. He was known as JimsAloha here on the forum. He and I got to know each other when I helped him get into black powder shooting. He shot with us BP shooters for close to 2 years. The whole time he had been battling cancer. He had his good and bad days but was always very upbeat and loved to shoot. He used to shoot competition and was a retired airline pilot.

I only heard this second hand this morning so I don't have any other details.

I knew Jim from way back when he shot combat with MPPL. A good guy.

Another good guy who recently passed away unexpectedly is Doug Boyer, owner of the Military Shop which closed about 4 years ago.

Very sorry to hear this. I’m happy to hear that he enjoyed shooting with you folks while he was battling cancer. That he was enjoying life as best he could.

I heard about Doug from several people. I heard he was a good guy as you said. I never knew him personally, but I heard that he is going to be sorely missed.

hi of,
I remember Jim and his wife. I think her name was Patty.  They were always pleasant and fun to talk story with during the match and at the after match lunch.
