When should we contact our reps?

When a bill is proposed and we submit online testimony, should we still email our district rep?  Or wait until the hearing gets closer to when all the reps vote on the bill, not the 1st reading where only 5 were present and such?

I don't want to be "that guy" who always grumbles then my concerns fall on deaf ears.

I want to voice my concern about HB2228 to my rep, but feel it is to soon and may be for nothing if the bill dies.

Ideally you should talk to your rep before the session starts, prior to January. 

Visit them during the session then again if the bill goes up for a final vote.
