Homeschool bill withdrawn
« on: February 18, 2018, 08:38:14 AM »
Why don't we get this same type of response from the 2A community? And the this response from legislature? I know that we do have bills out there with lots of testimony given.

But I answered my own question. They don't want us to have anything more than a wet noodle and a spoon...

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy.

We rarely at most have 200 testimony on major gun bills.  Commonly 50 to 100.  Nowhere close to 1,000.

And that's why we get nowhere...
With 105,432 handguns registered in the state in the last 5 years, you'd think we could get 1% of that number to submit testimony or better yet just show up on the legislatures front door step on hearing day. Show up with an empty holster or a long gun case and let them know we are here and want our rights defended, not sent to the back of the bus and treated like its a second class privilege. Be nice, be polite, say yes sir and thank you, but I think 1000 law abiding citizens with holsters and cases would send a message.

I've been running a lot of events for years and low turnout doesn't surprise me.  Well sometimes it still does.  Answers still elude me.

Similar example can be brought up what was the reason for not attending the legislative workshops I posted here many times, on facebook, and even sent out by the HRA to the members?

I really like to know to help me plan better for other events.  Not to call people out.

I write testimony whenever I can. I’m not perfect and ultimately it falls on me. The way I see it, these are the people we need to convince regarding the 2A. Self-reliant, independent types. A spark is needed to ignite the realization that other rights are easily trampled when the fundamental one that protects them is removed.

The home school one (which is a win), and the home birthing one (which was a loss so far), has really awoken my wife. She happened to be interested in both. Slowly but surely she realizes now what’s happening out there.

I appreciate everything the members do for our rights on here, and will continue to help out how I can.
