Florida gun store owners close and vow to support gun control legislation (Read 1908 times)

Some people are so stupid it's nearly incomprehensible. But such is the world. I also heard an interview on NPR (of course) with a guy in Florida who turned in his AR-57 to police for it to be destroyed (he didn't mention the status of his other firearms) because, as per the Dalai Lama et al, he "wants to be the change he wants to see in the world". Okay, one down, ten million to go. (https://www.npr.org/2018/02/17/586825434/after-parkland-shooting-a-florida-gun-owner-gives-up-his-ar-57) Good job! But he'll probably be at the legislature like these former gun store owners advocating for more "gun control" laws and working with and donating money to politicians who will gladly advocate such.  :crazy:

Couple who owned gun store that sold AR-15 to school shooter Nikolas Cruz shutter their business for good and vow to support gun control legislation in wake of Valentine's Day massacre

Michael and Lisa Morrison said that they are so 'mortified' over the event, they shuttered their business, Sunrise Tactical Supply, indefinitely on Friday
The couple also said that they will support new legislation designed to keep deadly weapons out of the hands of people with mental health issues
The gun store had been up and running for more than four years before FBI and ATF agent arrived on Thursday to inspect the premises

" new legislation designed to keep deadly weapons out of the hands of people with mental health issues".
Would that not preclude half the population of America?
works for me.
Most all mass killings are done by Moslem's and Democrats.

The percentage depends on the criteria used.

Obama summarily added 75,000 Social Security beneficiaries to the Prohibited to Own Guns list simply because they wanted or needed another to manage their finances.  I must have missed the "Personal Financial Management Test" when filling out the 4473.  You can't equate managing finances with the ability to exercise a right.  If that was the standard, I should have prevented my Ex from touching any guns!

If we give the government an ambiguous power to prohibit people from owning guns based on mental illness, we open ourselves up to any and all possible definitions of "mental illness".
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

I wouldn't be surprised if they opened a new location under a different name.  Their business will probably be under a law suit very soon and go bankrupt for defense cost.
