If nothing else, that conversation personifies the very reason there is a problem centered around atheists. It's not enough for them to "not believe" in religion. They have to go the extra mile to insult, demean, mock, attack, and even publicly sling hateful words at the dead. No one is forcing them to believe in religion, so why is it so important they show their arrogance and hatred toward those with religious beliefs?
If they could only demonstrate the "morality" and "sense of right and wrong" they CLAIM to possess sans religion, maybe I'd take them more at their word. Their actions are a total contradiction to the non-religious, yet righteous, values they pretend to espouse.
