I feel safer and happier now.

Oh, but those are only pistols.  According to the popular rhetoric now, they arent dangerous to the public like "assault weapons" are.

I do think you could fit a taken-down AR into a purse if you wanted to.  More safety theater!

Certainly an AR pistol... but since those are illegal here I'm sure no criminal would do that.
