I think this is wonderful. Alphabet has been enjoying a privileged position for far too long and it's great that they are encouraging people who are interested in constitutional rights to seek out other venues. Hopefully this slows down the internet media consolidation process and coordinated assaults on free speech that goes with it.

Full30 has been around for a few years, pretty sure all the big YouTube channels like Military Arms channel, iraqvet8888, 22plinkster...etc have mentioned it a few or many times. Currently only well known channels upload there and supposedly they’re still working on making it available for all other gun/outdoor related channels.

Interesting trend.  Youtube doing this (my comment to them was I would keep my adblocker blocking everything),  reddit killing stuff like r/gundeals yesterday and several other gun-related discussions, facebook already cracking down on gun related content (while selling your personal details wholesale all over the world)

who would have thought letting a few massive companies corner the internet would lead to any problems. 

ah well, let it burn.  The faster this country collapses the better

The problem is that these sights don't have the sponsors that YT provides and therefore little revenue stream. It will take some time for these alternatives to become defacto.

He says they're given 30 days until this goes into effect.

Another update —>

What’s great about this take is that he is more centrist-liberal who leans but isn’t full anti-gun. Also has great reach w/ 6mil subscribers and videos averaging 1mil views each.

I'm not ready to quit watching youtube, so I installed adblock. It is the best thing ever! I should have done this years ago. No more commercials. no more add banners. No more add revenue for youtube!
