And  to the “armed school resource officer”. Hope those shot make it through.

Just like I thought. Shooter did not use AR, he had a Glock according to this article
I read elsewhere the resource officer had a handgun
Armed school security takes out shooter with handgun
Does not fit into their political agenda

Saw this covered on Fox. Strangely CNN has been silent...

"Jonathan Freese, a student at the school, called CNN from his math class and said the shooting happened in the art hallway.
“I’m still a little shaken up. I didn’t think it would happen,” Freese told CNN."
Geez, the kid y had CNN phone number (on speed dial ? ;)) and their not covering the story ?  ::)

The libs and pod eaters will call for a glock ban.
Police will turn in their guns to prevent black kids from being murdered by cops.

Then we can line up coast-to-coast, hold hands and sing kumbaya

When I earlier watched the video of the sheriff's press conference he "hinted" that they didn't know if the SRO shot the murderer, implying it was possible that the shot fired by the murderer was suicide. This article mentions the same possibility. We'll see. In either case, the murdering ended when the murderer was confronted by a person with a gun.

And here is the continuing delusional spewings of one of the most outspoken of the media darlings from Parkland:

"We are here for you, students of Great Mills, together we can stop this from ever happening again," Emma Gonzalez, a senior at Stoneman Douglas High School who survived last month's rampage, wrote on Twitter.

No you can't. Never. Please name all the laws and any other "changes" that would prevent a person intent on murder from acting that out in school. There aren't any measures of any kind that could stop that from "ever happening again". None. I'm not sure if these people are really that delusional ("make all guns/weapons magically disappear so even criminals won't have any") or just saying what they've been told they need to say to further destroy the rights of law-abiding Americans.

Why there will be little to no coverage:

1) Handgun used, and not scary black rifle
2) Under 18
3) Good guy with gun stopped it
4) Only 2 died, not 5+

While we may never know the truth, that the SRO was there and responded appears to have stopped the shooter. I initallly thought it would be better if the SRO shot the attacker to stop him. However, I wouldn’t doubt if that action would make the SRO subject to lawsuit by the attacker’s family.

Anyways, isn’t this a validation of the studies and those who have said that attackers tend to go after soft targets. That when faced with resistance, most will likely fold and end things, and their own lives.

2 were injured

Yes, I believe that is against the law.

Of course so is attempted murder... when are these damn criminals gonna learn? We need more laws for sure. I'll volunteer to give up my firearm (s?), if I had one/some, in order to assure the safety of the children.

Last updated November 17, 2017.

Maryland generally prohibits any person under age 21 from possessing any “regulated firearm” (handgun or assault weapon).
Maryland also prohibits any person from transferring a regulated firearm to a transferee who the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe is under 21 years of age.

Maryland also prohibits any person from selling, renting or transferring ammunition for a regulated firearm to a person under age 21, or any ammunition to a person under age 18.
Maryland also prohibits the sale or transfer of a rifle or shotgun to a person under age 18.

However, there appears to be no minimum age to possess a rifle or shotgun in the state.[/b]

There laws are close to Hawaii's.
See the  "un-biased"    description below.
https://gun.laws.com/state-gun-laws/maryland-gun-laws.

"Even with such strict restrictions on guns, Maryland routinely ranks among the most dangerous states in terms of violent crime statistics. One in every 156 citizens is the victim of a violent crime, while one in 11,427 is murdered.
These bleak numbers can be mainly attributed to Baltimore's struggles and failure to revitalize.
Numbers may be misleading given the presence of dangerous urban landscapes.   :wtf:
Although unpleasant, one can only imagine how the statistics would look if Maryland gun laws were mitigated."

I would think the shooter was shot by the resource officer
Since they fired almost at the same time
Seems odd that if you're in the middle of a shoot out you'd quickly turn the gun on yourself, seems like you'd be preoccupied with getting shot at instead of suicide
But what do I know, I've never been in a shootout

When I was 16, a guy was robbing  the neighbors house .
My Father handed  me a 1911A stationed me in a safe place
and said don't let me  get hurt. you are a minor and
I will pay for your lawyer.
He confronted the robber , the robber got mouthy.
He told the robber my son will kill you if you don't leave.
I racked the 1911A, that is, loaded it,  and was prepared
to kill the robber if he got physically aggressive.
The robber heard both my Da, the gun, and
then the robber left running.
Kids can handle guns as long as adults teach them how.
