I usually goto koko head but would like to do some holster work and not have to reload every 5 rounds. What is the best indoor range in the honolulu area?

You only have 2 choices.  Honolulu Firearms in town, and X-ring in Waipahu.  Pretty pricey.

Honolulu Firearms in Honolulu.

Not sure if you can holster, so call them beforehand.

Sounds like you just want holster time and not really a indoor range. So my suggestion would be to join a club ones that holder draw. Now your in luck because this coming Saturday at kokohead the hdf has a range day which you could attend the open shoot portion of the day.. My .02

He can practice holster work at home.....

Preferably with an unloaded pistol.
It's the shootin' part that's hard.
What, Me Worry?

Of the only 2 indoor range choices, Honolulu Firearms is cheaper and less humbug because you don't have to pay for a "membership" fee.  And you don't have to spend money on a class to draw from holster qualification.  Ammo must be purchased at both locations and are about the same prices, so are the lane fees.

For Honolulu, as long as you're safe about it, they let you.

The HDF range days are the last Saturdays of the month from 8-10am.  For $15, you can draw and use your own ammo.  As long as it's done safely.  I prefer the range days.  Bring your own cardboard and target for shooting at 3 yards +.  They do have steel set up at about 20 yards and bowling pins at the same distance.
