Were the RO's pretty good about when you guys started to work on speed?  How fast were you able to practice before they get all bent out of shape.

There's two ways I work on speed at 25yds

Start from compressed ready and get the shot off at full extension.

"Rapid fire" one second between shots.  In their case I had them do 1.5 sec between shots.  It's fine as long as it's controlled and hitting the cardboard.  It's a good stress test to check for good position, grip, and trigger control.

One second per shot, controlled, is the max at bullseye.  If you can do that and keep the shots on a sheet of paper, that's advanced level stuff.
