Quote
It appears that Aghdam was disgruntled by the changes in the YouTube platform. She wrote on her website, "Be aware! Dictatorship exists in all countries but with different tactics! They only care for personal and short-term profits and do anything to reach their goals even by fooling simple-minded people, hiding the truth, manipulating science and everything, putting public mental and physical health at risk, abusing non-human animals, polluting the environment, destroying family values, promoting materialism and sexual degeneration in the name of freedom and turning people into programmed robots!"

She goes on to quote Adolf Hitler saying, "Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it and eventually they will believe it."

The rest of her message targets YouTube and censorship. "There is no free speech in the real world and you will be suppressed for telling the truth that is not supported by the system. Videos of targeted users are filtered and merely relegated so that people can hardly see their videos."

Notice how Mashable lightened her skin and changed her eye color.
Fake news, anybody??

Her father contacted authorities a couple of days ago because she had been missing from San Diego for a few days. He told them she was "really angry" with YouTube because "they took her income away from her". The cops located her YESTERDAY, "picked her up", and that was the end of that. Well, not quite...

Yeah, too bad California doesn't have those fancy new Extreme Risk Protective Orders (like Hawaii is trying to institute) or the cops could have held her and taken away any firearms based on the statements by the father and the brother to law enforcement. Oh, wait... California DOES have those orders (one of the few states that do, so far) which allow for ex parte (the accused is neither present nor represented nor even informed of the hearing) rulings, here glorified by the "Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence":

Extreme Risk Protection Orders

Laws enacted in 2014, 2016, and 2017 in California, Washington, and Oregon provide loved ones with lifesaving tools that can prevent gun tragedies before they occur. Extreme risk protection order laws, also known as gun violence restraining orders and gun violence protective orders, allow families and household members, as well as law enforcement officers, to petition a court to remove a person’s access to guns if he or she poses an imminent danger to self or others.

* * * * *
Given this failure of these obviously well-intended but insufficient laws, I think we have to do something! It's clear to any rational person that the only way to stop these and all instances of tragic gun violence is to institute the commonsense gun safety regulations that ban any ownership of any firearm from any non-law-enforcement citizen. Then there'll be no "gun violence" for sure. Let's do it. For the children! And for Google!  :crazy:

Anyone want to speculate (before it makes the news) on the specific weapon she used?

I'll bet it was NOT one of those pink ones... rifle or pistol. I'm gonna guess handgun, Glock or Hi-Point. 10-round California-compliant mags. Passed a background check.
Handgun, not pink, legally acquired with required background check and registration, went to range to practice...

http://www.breitbart.com/california/2018/04/04/youtube-shooter-used-registered-handgun-visited-range-targeting-innocents/

Nasim Aghdam Used Legally Purchased, Registered Handgun in YouTube Attack

She visited a shooting range on Tuesday, prior to targeting YouTube headquarters.

The Atlanta Voice reports the gun was a Smith & Wesson 9mm which was registered to the Aghdam. And CBS/AP report that police confirm handgun was “legally purchased and owned”

Moreover, California gun control goes far beyond background checks and registration requirements. The state has an “assault weapons” ban, a 10-day waiting period of firearm purchases, a requirement that would-be gun purchasers first obtain a firearm safety certificate from the state, and a “good cause” threshold for concealed carry permit issuance.

* * * * *
So she illegally carried a concealed weapon that she purchased legally (background check, 10 day wait, firearm safety certificate, etc.) after having been reported to law enforcement as potentially dangerous by two different family members in a state that has "Extreme Risk Protective Orders".

Oh, and all those initial reports about the attempted murderer being motivated by "domestic issues" and shooting her (ex)boyfriend and possible romantically-linked women was apparently 100% false...i.e. fake news. Unless there's version 3 coming...

It's near the top on all the "conservative" news sites and #2 at CNN and #10 at MSNBC and two stories about her at the top of the Daily Beast, including the lead story re Trump Jr.'s take on it..

Are you claiming a causal link, or even a correlation between the violence at the YouTube offices and her membership in PETA? Add to that the fact that she hadn't been active in nor a member of PETA since 2009.

I see. The joke premise that "Stories on the main news feed all but dissapeared" was fake news of your fabrication.

Trump Jr. was asserting essentially the same thing, and he wasn't joking. He was quite serious. Or at least he hasn't labeled it as a joke yet.

And for those who have made "jokes" about her being Muslim and THAT'S why the coverage has (NOT) been stifled, she's not. Or wasn't. She was Baha'i, which is actually outlawed in Iran by the Muslim government.

Okay, I'm ready for some more jokes. Serve 'em up!

A Baha'i woman, a vegan woman, and a woman PETA member walk into a bar...

Studies show that women are more likely to poison when scorned. Actually, I've watched many episodes of Snapped and the crime usually goes like this. The wife decides that the life insurance payoff is better than a divorce settlement so she gives $5k to her boyfriend to hire a killer from the bad part of town. Unfortunately for her, the boyfriend spends the money on drugs and has to do the job himself which he botches and then testifies against the wife. It's happens...
