London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan: "There is never a reason to carry a knife" (Read 12652 times)

You can't make this stuff up! Yep, in addition to the mayor, even Parliament is about to institute new levels of "knife control"! I love it!  Londoners will soon have to leave their hands at home.

After Nearly 100 Years of Gun Control, London Adding Knife Control

After nearly 100 years of gun control London, and the UK as a whole, are looking at knife control as the latest step in trying to dissuade the criminally-minded from carrying out their schemes.

London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan used a tweet to go after knives with verbiage similar to gun control rhetoric. He said, “No excuses; there is never a reason to carry a knife.”

In 2009, just 12 years after the passage of the Firearms Act, the Daily Mail declared Britain was “the most violent country in Europe.” It reported that Britain had “a worse rate for all types of violence than the U.S.”

And where have we seen this phrase before?

London's Mayor Declares Intense New 'Knife Control' Policies To Stop Epidemic Of Stabbings

London has seen a dramatic uptick in murder rates, surpassing even New York City in the number of homicides every month since the beginning of 2018. It has some of the strictest gun control laws in the world, and, technically, knives carried "without good reason" are off limits to anyone under the age of 18.

London (city, not the fanatic here) has fallen.

No freedom of speech, FB anti-Islam posters getting arrested.  Now this.

I did read in another article that the authorities have also banned the sale or mail order delivery of "caustics" to any person under 18. You know, due to the frequent "acid attacks". Expect a "no need for anyone to carry acid" statement in the coming weeks.

I'm going to put up an article (if I can find it) re California's new proposed law to ban the sale of virtually all "gun parts" (barrels, receivers, 80%, etc.) in California except by licensed dealers to people who will have to undergo a background check to purchase, as with ammunition there... no out of state sales or mail order deliveries.

Komifornia doesn't realize you can just drive across state lines to buy this stuff, compared to Hawaii.

You commit a crime if you do. I mean, if you bring any (currently only) ammo back across the border into California. They would only know about it if they got a "tip" and a search warrant ("And your receipt from a licensed California dealer proving you underwent a background check to buy these 50 rounds of .22LR is where?"). And while that may be highly unlikely, they want to make sure you know that you can go to prison for doing so at their whim.

Brian Odour 27 (10.11.90) of Richford Street, Hammersmith and Fulham, was found guilty of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life after a three-day trial at Isleworth Crown Court in March.

Odour, who also pleaded guilty to possession of a bladed article, was sentenced on Tuesday, 3 April.

Odour was stopped by Met officers on 26 September 2017 on suspicion of possession of a firearm. He was searched and, in the waistband of his trousers, a gun was found.

Scooby was working at Waterloo yesterday & someone tried to avoid him. That's odd, thought an officer, everyone loves Scooby?! Here's what was in his bag! Another nasty weapon taken off the network & the street thanks to dogs & humans working together as team. Have a great day

Our local Demograbs will likely issue common sense knife laws.
If you like your knives you can keep your knives.

The London mayor had previously severely restricted the search policy claiming it was racist, and mostly targeted at muslims. Now he favors it again. He hasn't said, to my knowledge, if it will only be used against non-muslims, which of course would be a racist policy. He's stuck between the facts and a hard place.

In that case i would say yes it has the same sort of bias. But just like NYC when you look at the numbers 1-1 more blacks are carrying weapons.

They also have these (even when i was still in the UK) They would have them setup at school entrances once a year as well.
